Well, the shoes only stayed on for a few shots before she kicked them off, so mr. (miss?) bear decided to try them on.
The big news of this week was her 2 month dr. appointment. I dreaded this one a little bit because I knew that there were some shots that were going to come along with it. Thankfully our doctor is a friend and we LOVE him and he was very reassuring. He said that Ellery looks perfect and that she’s doing very well. Yay! This has been SO good to hear especially after she lost so much weight at first. She is now 11 lbs. 14 oz (wahoo!) and 22 1/2 inches long. She is in the 75th percentile for weight and the 50th for height which is way up from when she was born.
When it came time to get the shots—she was a CHAMP! She got really mad initially when they first poked her, but once I picked her up and comforted her she calmed right down. She slept for most of the rest of the day, but didn’t seem upset when she was awake. She bounced right back and was back to normal the next day. SUCH a relief.
Other than that, baby girl just continues to grow and develop. She can hold her head up almost all the time and really enjoys standing on her legs (with support obviously). She can lift her head up while on her tummy and likes to scoot a little. She is still pretty random with her sleeping habits and likes to change it up every so often. Some nights she goes 5 hours, others she up every 2 or 3. She loves going for walks and is becoming a little more aware of Mika (our dog). Her favorite thing to look at is faces and she will follow Mike and I around the room with her eyes.
Can’t wait to see what she does next!
